Sound Designer

About Me

I am a Sound Designer with over 10 years of collective project leadership experience, I have a Game Design Bachelor of Science from Fullsail University, and was trained in Audio Engineering by sound design legends such as Eyal Levi, Joel Wanesek, and Joey Sturgis. I am a member of the Project Management Institute’s Chicago Land Chapter. I use my knowledge of animation, audio composition, audio engineering, game development, psychology, video production, and business management to create, manage, and polish successful soundscapes.

Experience

In past projects, I have always been “The Guy” that was in charge of the production of the product. Due to my experience in this, I understand the roles and languages of Project Managers, Game Designers, Artists, Developers, and the like. This allows me to anticipate problems before they arise, and create an organized workflow that is cohesive to a smooth-sailing audio implementation. Unlike most Sound Designers, I have technical skills that allow me to create and manage systems in C#, Blueprints, C++, and JSON. Using these systems, I am able to create dynamic sound systems that allow customization beyond what Wwise or FMOD would allow. Below, you will find links to various projects in which I played a huge role. In many of these projects, I was a producer and designer. However, I also created or directed sound design and voiceover productions.

Quality & Speed

I’m always looking for new ways to increase the production value of the product I am working on. I like things to look and feel as professional as they can possibly be. I am a stickler for getting the source material done right, and quickly so that there’s plenty of time to polish and shine. I am a firm believer in the 20/80 rule and have learned to focus on the 20% that matters. I am not one to cut corners to meet deadlines. Instead, I organize tediously so that when a deadline approaches, it will be smooth sailing. I also spend a good portion of time improving my workflow with macros, shortcut keys, and automation. This saves bundles of time and money in the long run. I am always looking for new software, plugins, and systems to increase speed and quality.
